Scenario: I want to budget and be good at managing my money but I’m just overwhelmed with everything related to money. How do I get over this?

What I’d do:

It’s great you acknowledge that you feel overwhelmed!

Go deeper. Why? What do you remember about the way you grew up with money?

I’d be willing to bet that you are afraid of “failing” - whatever your definition of failing is.

After acknowledging your emotions, honestly - just dive in.

You won’t fail!

The only big mistakes you can make are taking on too much debt and spending more than you make.

So, use your YNAB budget and make sure you follow your cash allocations and don’t spend more than you make and you will avoid the 2 things that can ruin your financial situation.

Search the internet for anything you don’t understand.

Remember, you’ll never be perfect!

Just keep moving forward and clarity will come.
